Meet the Carvers

 

Each year forty talented artists travel to Reedsport to compete in the Oregon Divisional Chainsaw Carving Championship.  These remarkable artists transform raw logs into breathtaking works of art - and bring thousands of spectators to Rainbow Plaza every Father's Day Weekend.

About the Competition 

​

No Entry Fee
Competing in the ODCCC is completely free for accepted carvers.  

​

Four-Day Master Carving

Artists have four day (29 working hours) to complete their main sculpture.  These pieces are sold individually, and pricing is determined by each carver. 

​

Daily Quick Carves
Every day from 10:30 a.m. to noon, carvers race the clock to complete a sculpture in just 90 minutes.  Quick Carves are auctioned off daily, and the artist keeps 35% of the selling price.

Meals Provided

Breakfast and lunch are offered to all carvers and assistants Thursday through Sunday.
